PRIMARY FUNCTION: Food Separation by Surfaces
INSPIRATION: The inspiration influenced by the designer's new thinking system methodology which she developed. The Math Of Design Thinking Inside The Box guides designers on how to think and where to look in order to create innovative products in a systematic way.
In this project, the idea was to help chefs and restaurants create their systematic way of designing their dishes.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The idea is to make a plate with 3D layers. The concept behind the layers will help restaurants and chefs to design their dishes in a faster, repeatable, and systematic way.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The plate is made to be eaten from FFF It is made to help restaurants and chefs to design their dishes in a faster, repeatable, and systematic way.
The surfaces are landmarks that help chefs and their assistants to achieve hierarchy, desired aesthetics, and understandable dishes.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started in May 2020 in Israel and still active to this day.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The product was designed following the self made methodology The Math Of Design and Thinking Inside The Box. The plates are made by hand and produced from clay
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The plate produced in different sizes and can be custom for every client or request.
The defaults color is black and white and the sizes are 12,20,24 cm reduce.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: 3D Plate was designed by a self developed method called Math Of Design Thinking Inside The Box.
The research focused on people that have problems eating and chefs that facing trouble explaining their creations.
It also examines how chefs and restaurants can design a dish in a faster, repeatable, and systematic way.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge was working with clay as the main material. In Israel it is very rare and very expensive.
In addition creating products for the kitchen requires high standards and approvals of different agencies.
