| DESIGN NAME: Mind Without Borders PRIMARY FUNCTION: App for Children INSPIRATION: Mind without borders is an APP used to care for children during the spread of infectious diseases, by establishing anonymous communication of information between children in various countries, health tracking, communication with family and friends, and connections with psychotherapists and volunteers to alleviate the decline in mental health of children as a result of the epidemic. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Mind without borders designed for children's health and care during the spread of an epidemic, integrates regular return health information, family and friends messages, secure and anonymous communication with children from all over the world, experiences the pleasure of writing letters and waiting to receive them, and reduces anxiety. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Mind without borders is an APP used to care for children during the spread of infectious diseases, by establishing anonymous communication of information between children in various countries, health tracking, communication with family and friends, and connections with psychotherapists and volunteers to alleviate the decline in mental health of children as a result of the epidemic. Mind without Borders allows children or care providers to return health information, enabling online volunteers and psychotherapists to help in a timely manner, thereby reducing the burden on health care workers. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Mind without Borders began thinking in August 2020, exploring user experience from September to November, and developing and designing mainstream visual frameworks for mobile devices, completed in Taiwan in November 2020. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Using IoT to connect children from all over the world and to understand the physical and mental state of children around the world through a health big data profile, to enable anonymous communication, health tracking, communication with family and friends, and connections with psychotherapists and volunteers, to alleviate the decline in children's mental health as a result of the home quarantine or long-term home-study. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Mind without Borders is a child-friendly anonymous communication and global social app that connects with pen pals in a variety of ways, including text messages, voice, and video, you can be volunteer internationally and help other disadvantaged children. Mind without Borders is expected to be released on Android, iOS, and PC platforms. CHALLENGE: Since the target group is a child, designers are always reminded to design from a child's point of view, hoping that the child can use the APP more intuitively and easily. When discussing with professionals in different fields, there are bound to be miscommunication situations, learning how to communicate with engineers, and cross-disciplinary collaboration is one of the trends of the future.
