PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Apartment
INSPIRATION: Requirements and needs of clients:
1. Larger public space, more space for interaction with family
2. There is a piano configuration requirement
3. Use different materials to decorate with different colors and textures
4. cozy atmosphere
5. The original open kitchen with glass door becomes semi-open
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: For a family of three with children, sufficient storage and play space is especially needed, so the designers made use of the square layout with good lighting to connect the originally narrow living room area with the open kitchen, creating a spacious and open public space, so that the interaction between the couple and the children is not obstructed. The TV wall is decorated with a lotus root purple color to add a pink atmosphere and serve as a visual highlight in the living room. The designer also preserved the original open kitchen, using glass doors to increase the flexibility of the space while maintaining an open view.
In order to fully satisfy the storage needs of the homeowner, the designer has placed cabinets above the bed and used light wood grain to pave the foyer, creating a soft, non-heavy and comfortable atmosphere.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2020 and finished in December 2020 in Taipei.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The TV wall is decorated with purple tones to add a pinkish atmosphere and serve as a visual highlight in the living room, and the ceiling height is extended through the trimming of large beams to reduce the feeling of pressure. The designer also preserved the original open kitchen, using glass doors to increase the flexibility of the space while maintaining an open view.
