| DESIGN NAME: Induku PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Holder INSPIRATION: Designing interiors in the modern trends we go from the concept of creating a comfortable, free-breathing space, released from the bunch of things, leading to serenity with maximum functionality. Driven by the desire to minimize the number of devices in the bathroom, we want to empty space for the soul, meditation, surrounding ourselves with objects of art by created utilitarian devices that combine "many in one". UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The product was designed with the aim of creating a simple, elegant device for bathroom, hallway and other spaces needed in light, heat and hanging. It designed to be used in small spaces and meant to look as simple as possible but to be still the most multifunctional. It stands out in the space with its simple design and diverse function - lighting, warming, holding, charging and reflecting. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The base of the device is a steel pipe. The pipe consists of several sections. The upper section is a lamp. The lamp cable is connected to the main 220V electrical system via the upper wall mounting channel and has its own switch. Middle section - 7 cylinders rotate and each is connected to removable parts and devices that can be placed in any order you like. These units are powered by electricity using a low-voltage tape inside. The lower section has a built-in heating element and a heat-conducting liquid. Above it is a radiator thermostat. It is connected via the lower wall mounting channel. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2020 and finished in January 2021 in in Saint-Petersburg. It is first time to show. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The device uses extremely little space in the room. It is designed particularly for small bathrooms, but can also be placed in larger spaces, giving more freedom to move around or decorate the interior. Installation is simple: wall mount you only need to connect to a power source for several devices at once. The main material-steel, is the basis and supporting structure. Detachable units and devices fixed on the cylinders can be moved to the socket in any order, they are powered (if needed) by electricity using a low-voltage tape inside structure. CHALLENGE: The main goal of the design was to create a complex product with a simple, minimalistic shape that would not dominate its surroundings and at the same time would have a high aesthetic value.
