| DESIGN NAME: Ono PRIMARY FUNCTION: Stereo Bluetooth Speaker INSPIRATION: We've been developing the Ono speaker since 2011. The plan started as a diploma thesis of the chief designer of Remion Design (Andras Oravecz) and after standing in the drawer for many years, we thought it would deserve another chance, so we started to review and improve it. Now, the serial production has started, after we finished the technical development of the speaker. The curved shape is resulted of the engineering work, and the exterior design cladding follows this. We created this special diffuser design to achieve the perfect stereo sound. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The primary function of the design is to provide the perfect sound. The design was inspired by the form of a horn (of Chief Lehel, who was a leader in a hungarian myth). The design functionally adjusts to the performances of a speaker, and positions of the internal components. Therefore, a completely new and unique speaker design was born thanks to engineering. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It plays audio files received via Bluetooth antenna, It contains: 2 pcs. of 50W deep - medium, and 1 pc. of high speaker. It has its own rechargeable battery with an external adapter. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2011 in Budapest, as a master project / thesis. After we finish the technical development, the vacuum casting phase will start in march of 2021. Predictably, the selling of the Ono Speaker will start in the second half of 2021. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Vacuum casting parts (corpus, stands), black color fine-finish polish on the surface SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width: 649 mm x Depth: 193 mm x Height 556 mm TAGS: Unique, Ono, bluetooth, stereo, speaker, design, Remion design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We made researches to get to know the reasons of the common forms of speakers, to be able to avoid creating ordinary shapes. Then, we focused on researching the internal parts, to find the ones which have all the necessary technical impovements, and at the same time, which can fit in the special shape. In this phase, we had help from audiofils and sound engineers, and they also tested the speaker's voice. The upcoming researches focus on the market to determine its size (first in EU and then, worldwide).
