PRIMARY FUNCTION: Electric Vehicle Charger Interface
INSPIRATION: This is an interface design for Vestel Ultra Fast Electric Vehicle Charger. Charging stations have a modular structure depending on different charger combinations they have. Device interface is designed adaptable for catching this modularity. Another challenge during the design process was to design a device interface that would be used by all different profiles of electric vehicle owners. This interface is designed to be usable by all this wide range of users.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Vestel EVC 05, which provides charging with Schuko and AC type connectors, aims to provide users with an easy and fast usage experience with its interface. With its intuitive interface, users can operate their charging session easily. The entire interface is designed considering the 10.4 inch wide screen and the interaction between user and this display area. It also supports booking feature for the end user. It aims to meet today's mobility needs and take place in future mobility.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Vestel EV Charger device interface aims to provide all the necessary information to explain charging process and guide user to take the right actions. Therefore, each part of the process is supported by clear illustrations and informative texts. User is also informed when device has a fault or is not available to use so that there is no doubt about current status of device.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Vestel UX Group do user researches and A/B testing according to appropriate user group for defining exact user needs and related project guidelines. UX Group, after creating user journey maps, combines them with suitable interfaces for create better user experiences for Vestel smart device’s users. While designing these interfaces, user research insights, emotional impacts, usage scenarios, various design architecture systems and actual design trends are considered.
CHALLENGE: EV charger device interface design focuses on simplicity and translucency. Icons and color palette are designed according to international use of charge sockets. Visual elements are choosen delicately to guide users for easy use. Socket placement on the device is represented in real-like illustrations to provide accessibility.
