| DESIGN NAME: Lazygoose’s Kickproof PRIMARY FUNCTION: Quilt INSPIRATION: Children’s metabolism is more vigorous than that of adults. They are prone to sweating, dreamy and active during sleep.The heavy and inappropriate quilt will make children feel muggy、restless and uncomfortable. Therefore, they often turn over or even kick the quilts, which is easy to lead to colds, chills and other diseases. But the thin quilt can’t give children the warmth they need.In order to give children a comfortable sleep environment, reduce the phenomenon of kicking quilts during sleep UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The lazygoose’s kickproof quilt with type-X structure is designed for school-age children. It conforms to the special quilting technology of children's ergonomics, combined with the type-X microgravity structure to fit the body and appropriately increase the resistance to prevent air leakage on both sides.The widened fishtail space design prevents the skin from being exposed outside by kicking the quilt with both feet, and provides comprehensive protection for children during sleep. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The part of shoulders and both sides are specially quilted to fit the curve of children aged 3-12, and we have thickened the parts of shoulders to give children more care. The type-X structure releases "micro-gravity& PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started research in Japan in November 2019, completed design in Hangzhou, China in April 2020, and launched in China in July 2020. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The product is filled with Germany Soft Fiber, a new insulation filling material close to down. The round and small collection of fiber balls is very similar to the form of down cluster. which can lock the heat in the bulging air pack to keep a constant temperature. It can recognize fluffy material and is breathable.The fabric is Swiss Sanitized® antibacterial material, fearless of sweat stains, and it can be washed in the washing machine, solving the health problems of children's bedding. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 120cm*150cm/150*200c TAGS: Functional quilt, children, kick-proof, fiber material, X-type RESEARCH ABSTRACT: According to the data from Japan Children's Sleep Research Association, children turn over and kick the quilt more frequently than adults during sleep, almost twice as often as adults.And because of the poor autonomy of children,they are more likely to catch cold during sleep, which affects their health. By studying children's sleeping habits, the researchers have studied the kickproof quilt according to children’s ergonomic structure. CHALLENGE: Designers found that not fitting the curve of the shoulder and neck tends to cause wind leakage. So we fill parts of shoulders with extra insulation material to increase the thickness and ensure warmth. Children's skin is more sensitive, the products made of common down may cause allergy. Choosing safe materials ensures excellent performance. After comparison and selection, we chose Germany Soft Fiber with high fluffiness and insulation performance of natural goose down as the filling material.
