| DESIGN NAME: Dongguan Oct Waterfront Sample Room PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential INSPIRATION: Design has a first idea of integrating and rebuilding the spiritual gene of Chinese cultural, people-oriented and back to life, trying to make a creative artistic expression of contemporary space. Extracting the essence of oriental humanities, design ties to interpret traditional Chinese sentiments into contemporary language. Seeking the beauty of the waterfront, the project has presented contemporary lake dwelling culture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Water is the yearning of the human soul, and human beings like to live along water since ancient times. The topography of mountains and rivers determines the dwelling of ancient people, while the poetic atmosphere of water environment affects the aesthetics of modern people. This project tries to create an abstract, modern and cultural dwelling space, combing dynamic and static, to inject into the space endless philosophies. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Core space tries to be open, recalling stretch feeling of nature. The flexible space division not only maintains the independent attitude of each area, but also injects home sense to the space, creating a full sense of life. The boundary setting allows different family members have their private space as well as a sharing space, creating an ideal home vision for three generations families. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Architecture always shows an integration with nature, creating mountain and water scene in architectural space. There has been a habit of putting a micro landscape in interior space since ancient times. Throughout the ages, natural elements of mountain and water have been already a part of Chinese home decoration. Taking advantage of the original ecological lake view in the city center, water elements are injected into the indoor space by different architectural design approach , giving space a modern, smart and soft atmosphere. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Imitation ecological gradient wall covering, wave board leather carving, environmental protection panel, latex paint, landscape glass, gray glass, 3D leather panel, environmental-friend TAGS: Water is the yearning of the human soul, and human beings like to live along water since ancient times. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The elements in this project are taken from the local natural ecological lake view concept, by an integrated design approach, creating conceptual scene of lake movement, which gives the space a natural rhythm. Cool color tone creates a calm felling, isolating space from hustle and bustle. Architecture shows full respect to nature, hiding life troubles into nature sense, making home truly spiritual harbor. CHALLENGE: Project tries to find a harmonious combination of different traditional and natural elements in the interior space , to make a friendly feeling to people, reducing the distance between people. Different kind of esthetic experience is created, responding to water concept. The project has an aim to create poetic space thoughts: beauty is incomparably beautiful. In the name of pure waterfront, we create a good space experience: moving forward, there is its own scenery at high places; looking back, there is a poetic dwelling creates people an image for future home along water.
