| DESIGN NAME: W-3E Mask PRIMARY FUNCTION: Expressive Emotion INSPIRATION: During the epidemic period, masks sealed people's emotions, making the already depressed life even colder. I hope that even wearing a mask can convey the feelings of each of us and make you and me warm in the cold epidemic. Disposable masks waste resources. Hope that the mask can replace the filter element for reuse, environmental protection and energy saving. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Built in small projector, through facial recognition and voice tone to generate expression patterns, It can be closed to make the mask completely transparent. Filter fans and loudspeakers are installed on both sides to solve the problems of dyspnea and communication, and the filter elements on both sides can be replaced as needed. There are basic control buttons and body status display screen on both sides of the rear, which is convenient for users to know their body status in real time. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Facial recognition and the voice tone of the user can generate the same expression pattern as the user's emotion. The filter fans on both sides are simply controlled by pressing the button, and the filter element can be replaced. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Anhui in June 2020 and completed in Qingdao University of technology in February 2021 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The front baffle of the mask is made of transparent material, the rubber material is all around, the silicone material is in contact with the skin inside, the built-in small projector, the leather material is at the back neck, and the transparent elastic rubber material is at the top adjustment band. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Larger than the normal N95 mask, in line with human engineering, the size fits the skin. Width 170mm x depth 180mm x height 100mm TAGS: Safety，technologyï RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project is an industrial design, hoping to solve the problem that it is difficult to transmit facial expression when wearing the mask during the epidemic period and the problem that the mask is stuffy and breathing is not smooth. Through the inspiration of the projector when watching the movie, we hope to project the expression into the mask to solve the problem. And through the network data to understand the consumption of masks, hoping to change the disposable, so as to achieve more low-carbon environmental protection. CHALLENGE: At the beginning, we planned to add a display screen inside the mask, but the curved screen cost is too high, which is not suitable for the public. Inspired by the cinema projector, we added a small projector inside the mask, and the shell edited the expression pattern through the mobile phone, projected it into the mask, so as to realize the personalized experience of young people.
