DESIGN NAME: The Eclectic of Yogyakarta

INSPIRATION: The design concept is inspired by the business strategy of Concetrix, Global consistency with Local intimacy. As a global business services company specializing in customer engagement and improving business performance, Concentrix keen to deliver customer experiences in the local language and culture. Therefore, blending a modern work culture with local identity is one of the important strategies to their success.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: As part of the business expansion in Indonesia, Concentrix plan to build a call centre hub in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. They want to build a Fresh, Modern, Fun, and Colourful office interior style.
The Eclectic of Yogyakarta is the design concept that we applied to the Concentrix Office in Yogyakarta. The concept of eclectic, which means comprises of heterogeneous elements in interior design, combined the modern office design with cultural heritage of Yogyakarta.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The local materials and elements we used for Concentrix Office brings out the local identity. We applied Andesite Stone on the Reception table and the other traditional elements such as Tampah, Batik patterns, Woven Bamboo, and Wayang.
To bring more of the local culture, we chose the concept of a Traditional Market for the cafeteria. It is designed with exposed bricks and traditional elements such as lanterns, tampah, rattan baskets, wooden pallets, sacks of rice, plants, and Onthel bicycles.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: As part of the business expansion in Indonesia, Concentrix plan to build a new call centre at Lippo Mall Plaza, Yogyakarta Indonesia.
By the concept of eclectic, which means comprises of heterogeneous elements in interior design, we combined the modern office design with cultural heritage of Yogyakarta. We used several local materials such as Tegel Kunci, Local Woven Bamboo, and Andesite Stone, the same stone that were used on the Yogyakarta temple.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total net space is 1.349sqm , located in 2nd floor, leased to support the total capacity of 222 staffs, with addition 48 seats for training rooms. They also need supporting space such as Lobby, Meeting Room, Cafeteria, Praying Room, Medical Room, Server Room and UPS Room.

As a technology-enabled global business services company specializing in customer engagement and improving business performance, Concentrix keen to deliver the customer experiences in the local language and culture.
CHALLENGE: As The designers blended two interior design concepts, the challenges were how to balance the local elements with the modern style, and still maintaining the modern atmosphere with touches of traditional elements.
The overall interior design brings out the modern atmosphere, while the traditional elements such as Tampah, Rattan Basket, Wayang, Onthel Bicycles and the other traditional elements manifest the traditional culture of Yogyakarta.
