| DESIGN NAME: Vani PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair INSPIRATION: The Vani Chair was designed based on Scandinavian woodworking techniques, with the ergonomics of the chair more inclined than the conventional one, making it more comfortable to sit, read, watch or talk. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With a complex machining, the Vani chair unites the highest manufacturing power, machined in 5 axes, its anatomical backrest in wood plus its joint in finger join behind the resistance and main lashing of the product, its turned back feet function as industrial pillars, already the upholstered part fills the comfort that the armchair indicates having an inner cushion that chambers the lumbar bringing immediate comfort to the user. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A Vani chair was developed with maximum comfort, with a cushion that projects the lumbar correctly, it works in dining room environments and as armchairs for small environments, adjusting according to the customer's need. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Vani chair developed through machines with 5 flexing axes, promoting the greatest complexity of the product, joints with finger system and Brazilian joinery technique. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 600mm.x600mm.x810mm. TAGS: armchair, chair, vani, comfort, joinery, brazilian design, inspiration, minimalism RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The concept used was the idea of a product that optimizes space combined with the techniques of Brazilian and Scandinavian carpentry, and hiding the entire part of the tapestry, the idea was to optimize both the construction and the use of the product making it a unique and comfortable product. CHALLENGE: The biggest difficulty was to develop an ergonomic backrest, changing the part of the idea that armchairs need cushions, we integrated it into the backrest, bringing the same comfort to the backrest with a minimalism in its design. NAME: Kasper.arq (Alexandre Kasper) + CGS Móveis PROFILE: Paranaense (Brazil), 26, started his career at 16 at CGS Móveis as a young apprentice. Over time, he moved to other sectors, knowing the entire production process of the factory in a complex way. He worked with designer Alex dos Santos, where he learned CNC programming and the productive and creative process of a product. Creation has always attracted his attention since he was a child, fascinated by architecture and furniture design; he studied architecture to improve his knowledge by opening his own design studio after Kasper.arq, he seeks to focus his balance on the contextualization of a product, being visually attractive and ergonomically functional. Its main sources of inspiration come from nature and architecture. |
