| DESIGN NAME: Time PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Returning to nature is an attitude towards life. In this project, a simple and pure design language is used to create much room for imagination, which is also the original intention of the design team. Leaving blank is an artistic design method, which contains the philosophy of life. Neat and simple lines not only organize the order of light and shadows, but also help create a pure, tranquil and poetic living environment. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design intends to interpret the relationship between time and space. Time makes solid space become alive and space would get transformed when time goes by. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The original space is reorganized and divided to replan functional divisions based on practical needs. The bedroom next to the living room is transformed into a dining area and a multifunctional area. Dark gray wood veneered cabinets divide public and private spaces. In the master bedroom, the locker room and the bathroom are reorganized. Bathtub, shower stall, toilet, sink are independent components that are rearranged in the space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design discards redundant decorations to simplify the space and life. Simple light and shadows are used to vitalize the space and interpret the spirit of place. Neat lines outline the whole space and functional divisions. Each space seems neat and tidy, not eye-catching but comforting. The designers also selected simple materials with pure textures and colors in order to create a lovely living space in which family members can enhance emotions. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The area of project is 138 square meter. TAGS: Simple, tranquility, pureness, blank space, life RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design aims to create a reasonable and effective circulation route, which shows respect and care for people and reveal the thinking about time and space. The quaint wood carving adds a natural texture into the space. The large areas of white imply the promising future. CHALLENGE: Since the project was on the 8th floor and beside the urban expressway, it was difficult to solve the problem of noise. Then, the place of bathroom was limited after the reorganization so that the drainage was another difficulty.
