PRIMARY FUNCTION: Shop Design
INSPIRATION: Designer proposed the them "Home sweet home" to the interiors based on the application of VB products and European lifestyle. Therefore entry is very imporatant as it is the frist impression. Designer proposed lots of plant but no single product image to enhance the home theme. After entering the shop, the first thing we see is the home setting such as open kitchen, dinning and living areas with all VB products. Customers would feel relax to stay and select products in the shop.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is the first shop for Villeroy & Boch home servies (VB Home) in China. The shop ia located in renovation area, it was a factory before. Designer proposed the them "Home sweet home" to the interiors based on the application of VB products and European lifestyle.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is the first shop for Villeroy & Boch home series (VB home) in China. Designer spend much time on understanding the history and different types of VB products. After the discussion with the client, finally all agreed the them "Home sweet home" for the interior design. Designer also hope to bring European lifestyle to all customers through the interior setting, use of open ceiling and even smell of the shop.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2020 and finished in October 2020 in Shnaghai, China.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As it is the first shop for VB home, so designer must clearly understand history and product characters of Villeroy & Boch. It is famous German brand which started form 1748. Therefore designer really hope to bring German touch in the shop, in terms of lifestyle, taste and even smell.
CHALLENGE: The hardest part of the design must be the limited construction budget, especially in very special year 2020. Lucky we have excellent products, so the main job for designer is highlight the products with theme "home".
