| DESIGN NAME: The Realm Of Purity PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Within the square room, the refraction of the mirror produces a feeling of transmittance between virtuality and reality, providing a rich visual feast. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Through the continuous scenes, a calm and tranquil space is established. Fresh and simple grayscale tones structure the pure beauty of the space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After opening the door, first rays of the morning sun gradually enter the room through the gauze curtain. The transparent and open layout allows every corner of the house to be bathed in the throb of lights. Furthermore, the sidewall next to the sofa features the extravagance of the starry sky. The wallpaper is embedded with gray mirrors and bright mirrors to create a boundless visual tension. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in September, 2020 in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, Taiwan. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Woodwork, paint, system cabinet, lamp, stacked stone, masonry wall, ironwork, marble, wallpaper, wall & plastering, glass SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The interior design area is about 182 square meters. The layout consists of entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, storeroom and 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. TAGS: Residential design, Space, Modern style, Luxurious RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The gray colors provide a neutral background for the house. With different materials, a calm and restrained spatial texture is created. The magnificent TV wall is made of marble shining like stars in the universe. Stars appear as a milky band of lights or dots of lights, implanting the mystery of the universe into the space. CHALLENGE: A soothing and comforting leisure area is created by a simple design approach. The walnut flooring gives a warm touch to the feet, while the cabinetry and bedside wall connect with the gray tones of the public area, echoing a touch of grayish blue color. A transparent glass partition defines a dressing room. The warm lights create the perfect luxurious ambiance.
