| DESIGN NAME: Chloe PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair INSPIRATION: Its main inspiration was the need to create a large piece that evoked the primordial sensations of balance and "about to break" at the same time. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Chloe is an armchair in which its straight lines stand out, by playing with angles achieves this minimalist and imposing design that dominates Minimal Studio. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The main concept of this project is based on its slender geometry. Its skeleton is made of tinted French oak, forming a geometric structure identifiable with the general aesthetics and concept of the brand. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was developed in Mallorca during 2018, ending its execution and presentation in 2019. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: French oak wood has been chosen to produce this armchair for its warmth and at the same time, its quality. Quality brown coloured leather to shape the cushion and for the support strips of the marble piece, which allows for perfect adjustment of the cushion. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 55 x 147 x 115cm TAGS: Chair, Lounge Chair, Armchair, Wood, Marble, Leather RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design process started by drawing simple lines and angles with the idea of making the profile view of the chair iconic and very recognizable. CHALLENGE: The combination between the angles, unions and material resistances during the production tests, became the major challenge in order to achieve a big and aesthetic piece as we present. NAME: Minimal Studio PROFILE: Minimal Studio was born from the hands of Juan David Martínez Jofre with the objective of raising the execution of the work to the same level as the design or decoration. The multidisciplinary studio is composed of an architect, engineer and interior designer specialized in interior design, architecture, creation of furniture and decorative elements. At Minimal Studio understands that each project and client is unique and different. For this reason they work in a personalized way, meeting the needs of each one, and improving expectations to elevate each creation, giving importance to every detail. Based in the north of Mallorca, their work extends throughout the island, as well as to Ibiza, Barcelona, Marbella... Therefore, their clients, who trust in their work as Project Manager at the time of executing projects, come from diverse countries. |
