| DESIGN NAME: Nature Fanaticism PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Apartment INSPIRATION: Loving sports, outdoor activities and travel, and usually learning piano and cello, the couple and their daughter have diverse interests. There is also a pet cat in the family. With natural colors, materials, and the planning and arrangement of storage functions, we hope to incorporate their passion and vitality for life into this home space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is a single-storey residential space with a large and beautiful riverside landscape. We express the occupants’ love for nature through rough, natural wood, red bricks, iron pieces, cement-like bricks, wall coverings and other materials. The bedroom is also integrated with the sloped roof and hanging chairs of the wild holiday cabin. Combined with comfortable functions, it creates a modern and natural leisure texture. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The open design and movement direction allow sunlight and natural scenery to enter. And through the hidden storage design, a refreshing and concise picture is created, so that the eyes and activities of the occupants can meet in life, and the cats also have free walking lines. The entrance before entering the private realm is a flexible circulation and resting space. The writing and drawing on the blackboard wall also increase the opportunities for family members to get along and talk. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The public space retains a transparent view, so that people can enjoy the outdoor landscape at every corner. In addition, through the conversion of the floor material, the paragraph level of the guest dining room and open kitchen is created. The wall of the living room is specially made for ironware and canoe collection, creating a visual topic, and also becoming a walkway for cats and a couch storage area. The private area focuses on leisure, and the entrance aisle leading to the bedroom is rearranged as a flexible space for resting and reading. Residents can also write and draw freely on the blackboard wall. The master bedroom is inspired by the sloping roof of the holiday cabin, and the storage area is defined by the hollow cabinet, so that the sun is not blocked. In order to meet a great storage need, a hidden storage room is added between the hallway and the kitchen to extend the space experience through the lens door. In addition, there is also a multifunctional room that combines functions such as clothing storage, bicycle display racks, and fitness. CHALLENGE: How to use the characteristics of multiple materials and the configuration in proportion to shape the home style and echo the natural landscape are issues worth considering in this case.
