| DESIGN NAME: Bojing Moon White PRIMARY FUNCTION: Villa INSPIRATION: In a traditional Chinese building, overlook is an art form. Thus, it is used quite a few times in this project. The communication between people does not have to happen in the same place; instead, it can also cut through walls and floors. The house has three floors above with a basement. The rhythm of the house is well tuned, following the building's own melody, with nature and humanity as the main tone, and offer a good condition for "over look". UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The structural change of this house is a little bit big. Designers adopt several methods to set up the structure of spaces, including view responding, view borrowing, view framing, extension, vertical slit, structural sinking, and the application of glass material, which naturally brings sunlight, breeze and external landscape into the interior, and enables a harmonious relationship between the interior and the exterior, enriching the visual perception and living experience of residents. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Step 1: the preliminary planning and design of space plane; Step 2: draw the detailed space design scheme; Step 3: the owner confirms the overall design scheme; Step 4: draw construction drawings and confirm the list of building materials and furniture; Step 5: deliver the construction drawings; Step 6: supervise the construction process until it is finished. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: stone, wood finish, painting, Italian styled furniture, Glass rail with no handrails, Curved steel glass handrails SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Project area: 1050 square meters TAGS: Nature, Humanity, Blank-Leaving Spaces, Overlook, Restriction RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The most important thing of designing is human's experience. What the design ultimately aims to achieve is the emotional communication between people and space, between people and people. Thus, there is a lot of connotation in experience. The greatest value of design is to serve people. Space is like a container. If people could live there with sense of harmony and feel comfortable, that is the best design for dwelling. CHALLENGE: When we enter a space, how we feel is the starting point of my approach to analyzing a project. After I have a certain understanding of a space, I may improve it from a more professional and detailed perspective, like how to structure the spaces, how to apply functions, including equipment and lighting.
