| DESIGN NAME: Liao PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: An aged residence owned by the clients is renovated and modified by the design team. Through the renovation, the new appearance of the space is energetic and expanded. Because the space is full of family memories, some of the materials used in the original house have good quality, the advantage of square layout and moderate lighting, the designers adopt subtractive design thinking. With specific and implicit methods, they retain and modify some parts, creating a modern home atmosphere and relaxing comfort in the project. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designers not only apply the storage compartment at the entrance hall but also adopt the special room dividers on the side. The team adopts the technique of adjusting the appearance of the interior. The metal grille room divider beside the entrance is an attempt by the designers to strike a balance between transparency and concealment, inspired by an extraordinary chair purchased by the clients. The chair seems like an artwork that is rich in grid expression. With similar elements in the home decoration, the designers anticipate integrating consistent and beautiful expression elements in the residence. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the private area, the team plans an appropriate private area for each bedroom, and it is equipped with an exclusive dressing room, as well as its own bathroom, so family members have a comfortable and moderate private space. The team meticulously arranges a cute and special bedroom for the clients twins. In order to present the image of twins, the bedroom has two single beds, two similar desks, and a dressing room that meets the height of the kids, creating an interesting and vivid children's room. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Metal paint compartment, wooden core board, steel brush veneer, iron furnishings, sandalwood floor, special paint, glass, non-woven fabric. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The floor area is about 165.29 square meters. Space has an entrance, cloakroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, storage room, study room, master bedroom, two kid's room, two bathrooms, and two dressing rooms. TAGS: Residence with large square meters, aged house renovation, sandalwood and solid wood floor, simple design, extraordinary private house design, special room dividers RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The original floor materials have high quality, and the craftsmanship is precise and solid. Thus, the team adopts the method of processing and color-changing to adjust the color expression of the floor. Not only does it retain the most precious and rare decoration parts of the old residence, but it also gives vitality to the reddish and outdated floors through re-dyeing. In order to retain the spaciousness in the residence with large square meters, the team adopts the light space tone with the flashing light gray color on the preface of the art wall, and they rearrange the study partition wall. Replaced the wall with iron frames and glass. CHALLENGE: When dealing with the space proposals with the clients, the designers understand the abstract feeling of the female clients when it comes to home expression. With the multilayer shoe storage, they create a cloakroom like a mysterious collection place. The team anticipates space can maintain the spacious vision of the side corridor while adding the functions with the partition plan. Thus, the team adopts a specific size arrangement and glass sliding doors to design an appropriate layout, creating the most desirable cloakroom for the female clients that every woman wants.
