| DESIGN NAME: Tsarevna PRIMARY FUNCTION: Apartment Interior INSPIRATION: The designer planned to realize a modern apartment with Russian characteristic motives. At the same time, the designer tried to avoid standard practices. Historical national plaster and ethnic decor have helped solving this mission. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Traditionally, interior design in Russia is privilege rich people. The purpose of this project is trying to change this situation. The architect wanted to show that qualitative project can be accessible. She wanted to produce interior with national traits. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Selected techniques in the project are universal. These are the use historical national materials and decors in modern design. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Historical national plaster and ethnic decor are the main project features. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Apartment area is 70 m2. The cost of the project is 60 000 euro. TAGS: Russian design, modern Russian interior, ethnic design, apartment design, Russian design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The architect researched different national materials, texuters and features of national interiors in Belgorod region. White plaster of rough texture is a symbiosis of simplicity and expressiveness. This plaster was used in the past in the decoration of houses in the south of Russia and has become a feature of her project. Photo of modern Russian princess emphasizes and enhances the slight-cocky disposition of the project. CHALLENGE: The creative challange: the main idea of the project is a simple design with elements of folk style decoration.
