PRIMARY FUNCTION: Packaging
INSPIRATION: Banquine candles are an extravagant sensorium of sound, smell and color, inspired by Philip Astley, the father of the modern circus, where high-quality candles played a surprising vital role in the experience. The brand design closely aligns with Banquine’s luxurious line of candles, while also hinting at the brand’s origin story. The use of strong vibrant colors and elegant textures is inspired by the sophisticated yet overwhelming circus experience. The collection consists of different scents and accompanying designs, making each and every purchase a high-end collector’s item. Inspired by the influx of sensations that overwhelm all senses when visiting the circus - or indeed when opening the package of a luxury candle.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The energetic design translates into geometric shapes and bright colors, resulting in a set of recognizable yet distinct patterns. The effect is a brand and packaging that stands out without upsetting, maintaining its gracefulness - a careful balance required to honor the Banquine brand and what it stands for.
