DESIGN NAME: Connections
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence
INSPIRATION: Since the development of technology, products have been growing rapidly and it has become a part of our lives, the way people get along with each other has changed. Therefore, the designer has intended to facilitate the communication between the client and his family which is the reason why the name of the construction is Connection. By establishing a space with transparency, the connection between the family can be tighter.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is exclusively designed for preschool children to set up a picture book library. Its idea comes from childrens perception and interactive nature when they are in touch with the environment, using pure flowing lines and contrasting colors to design the space. The dynamic atmosphere of space triggers childrens instincts in space exploration.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The designer expects to reduce the use of unnecessary flow lines in the limited space so that by moving the washbasin out and making the entry of the sub-master room fair and square, the flow line of the public space has been integrated. Also, the construction of the washbasin has made the client more convenient and the designer has added a dresser on the traffic flow of the privates.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Finished at Banqiao, New Taipei City, Taiwan at the end of March 2020.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: An iron frame, Woodworks and spray painting, glasses, marble, wallpapers, LED light tubes
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The inner space is about 22 square feet which include an entrance, dining room, living room, kitchen, multifunctional study, master bedroom, sub-master bedroom, and the two bathrooms in the master and the sub-master bedroom.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designer has used iron parts to establish the design of modern lines and also created a visual perception of light classic with mirror with flow marks, veneers, and special wallpapers. Nevertheless, because of the limited spaces, the designer has reorganized the study room into an open space. Moreover, moving out the washbasin so as to broaden the space for flow lines. After the arrangements for the pattern, space possesses a fluent flow line and meets the expectation of humanism.
CHALLENGE: The space of the sub bathroom is the most limited in the private domain. Thus, the designer has arranged a sofa bed and a desk with a suspension cabinet design. In addition to customizing the furniture for the small room, the designer has integrated the cabinets so that there will be more spaces.
