| DESIGN NAME: Quintessense PRIMARY FUNCTION: Center for Mindful Change INSPIRATION: We were inspired by principles of unity between human and nature. It led us to leverage architectural beauty of the space, filled with natural daylight. All colors and shades are natural, calm and in harmony with the window views in winter and summer time. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A unique high-tech wellness center, where modern people have the opportunity to restore strength, to recharge their creative energy and harmonize their internal state. The techniques used within the center combine the most progressive technologies and ancient healing practices. The interior aims to foster a calm meditative state, that aids recovery and allows contemplation. It emphasizes the importance of the human being and their individual personality. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2019 and finished in 2020. The space is situated in the most prestigious residential area of Moscow, Khamovniki (Russia). FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The double-height area within the six meter - high ceiling takes up the central part of the ground floor. There is a relaxation area, a bar and café with comfortable seating which serves healthy food and drink, there is also an oxygen bar beside that. The streamlined formed bar is the most spectacular element of the interior. It is made from the resin of the designer’s unique style and symbolizes the life flow from the traditional past to our high-tech future. Under the ceiling there is a meditative installation that slightly swings as the light air flows, it is reminiscent of a floating cloud or an object blown by a warm sea wind. The mere contemplation of this area brings regenerative and relaxing effect. Here the art objects are not used as a décor but are elements of the interior itself. The walls of the main space are decorated with the panels created by the artist based on the designer’s sketches. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 327 square meters TAGS: spa, interior, mindfulness, unique RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: We were asked to design the interior and manage construction works of a center which is unique to Russia. The interior is supposed to create a favorable atmosphere for our guests revealing their internal potential and harmonization of their personality. It also needed to be multifunctional, effectively using a relatively small space to ensure the privacy of the guests within an intimate atmosphere involved in various procedures and practices. One of the most difficult challenges we faced was how to fit all of the many different areas into the premises, keeping each space visually beautiful and comfortable. NAME: Dseesion Interiors PROFILE: Our story began in 2003 when a graduate of globally renowned Moscow Architectural Institute Valeria Senkina decided to launch her practice in the sphere of sophisticated luxury interior design. Since then, we have created and conducted around a hundred projects in Russia, its regions and in Europe. We are not creating 'mass'-projects. Every one of our projects is authentic, unique and is designed specifically for the client with local peculiarities. Valeria is a founder, general manager and general architect. In collaboration with leading galleries in Russia and France, Valeria offers a professional selection of art. Our projects are featured in leading online and offline Russian media devoted to architecture and interior design. Valeria is actively participating in professional events as a speaker or as an expert. She is a member of The British Institute of Interior Design (UK's only professional institute for interior designers), a Forbes blogger and amongst the Top 200 designers by Elle Decoration Russia. In 2020 we opened office in London and entered British and European markets under the name Dseesion UK. |
