| DESIGN NAME: Kguard PRIMARY FUNCTION: Waterproof IPX8 Bag INSPIRATION: The product aim to solve the problem of bringing the electronic car key in a safe condition while doing and outdoor activity or action sport. Surf, Kitesurf, wind surf, bodyboard, SUP, Kayak, ... UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Kguard is a soft bag for smart keys IPX8 certified. Waterproof Sealed Bag designed for water sports like Surf, Windsurf, Kitesurfing or Paddle Surf. Kguard protect's your device, is soft and non irritant with your skin, take's care of your wetsuit and allow's free movements. What is more secure than having your key with you while into the water? OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Put the yellow ring on the black ring. Validate that it is well secured and adjusted inside the closing ring. (Assembled). Make a knot in the short lace by joining the two ends. Keep in mind that the long rope must go through the head to hang from the neck, take a reference and tie the knot with the two points together. Pass the rope through the closure ring leaving enough space to pass the top of the bag. The lock and hitch are ready to use. Open the top of the bag with your hands and push to insert the key inside. Tip: when you are going to store the car key, check where the buttons of the remote control are in order to operate the key without taking it out of the bag. Press the bag tightly to close it. Pass the top of the bag between the rope and the closing ring to the bottom of the bags neck and then fold it. Tip: leaving some air inside, depending on the weight of the content to ensure buoyancy. With the index and ring finger, pull the closure ring until it exceeds the rope and the top of the bag, so the bag will be closed ready to use. Hang KGUARD on: • Internal wetsuit pocket. • External wetsuit pocket. • In the swimsuit. • Around the neck. Hang the bag around your neck and use it inside your wetsuit, jacket or lycra. You can use the swimsuits short lace as a closure holder. Keep in mind: the electronic controls are functional inside the bag. Important: it is recommended to use only the items that are shipped with the product to ensure proper operation. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in may 2019 in Sopelana and Plentzia and launched the market in july 2020 after patented it in several countries worldwide. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: MATERIALS AND FEATURES • Silicone: according to the LFGB (law governing food and feedstuffs) regulations, suitable for food use. Elasticity of 300%. Ideal for saline environment. Anti allergenic material. • Rubber: natural, flexible and adaptable. • Polyester and cotton: together they provide visibility, softness, compression and fast drying. IPX08 CERTIFICATION (40 meters) Degree of protection according IEC 60529: 1989+A1:1999+A2: 2013 SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: CONTENT Everything you need to use KGUARD with warranty and security is included: 1• Bag. (6cmx12cmx0,5cm) 2• Ring: main closure to seal the bag. 3• Safety ring: gives rigidity. 4• Short lace (30cm): to secure the bag into wetsuit pocket, swimsuit or to other fixation of the equipment. 5• Long lace (80cm): to hang the bag around the neck. MAINTENANCE AND USE TIPS To ensure that KGUARD maintains the benefits optimally over time, it is recommended to continue the following instructions: • Before each use, check the bag and accessories conditions. • Check the laces knot strength. • After using KGUARD, rinse with fresh water. • Let dry outdoor away from direct sources of heat. • Periodically apply talc to the bag to prolong its best conditions. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The experience in design and how to develope (industrialisze) products has been applied to this idea. Ideilan's metodology; CIH, Conocer, Idear, hacer. Nothing in the market was a good solution for being safe and durable. The starting point was to research the market, use the experience and start doing prototipes so early. Then creating a new sistem for sealing. After that, election of material and industrialization. After that certificatons, product is resistant at 40 meters deep, being IPX8 resitant. The most it can be this tipe of products. Competitors exist but launched product is a different one who solve the problem in a more secure way. Being dry and beingsafe with yo. CHALLENGE: The challenge was to free our mind. Not being worried about the car key because is hide or inside a bmetal box. And technologie of proximity keys do not allow some users habits. What is more safe than ware the key with you while into the water?
