| DESIGN NAME: The Evergrowing PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bank INSPIRATION: The Evergrowing bank - With the meaning of ever-growing in Chinese as the bank’s major business statement, the Chinese bamboo tree became the leading concept of the entire design. IMO design have created a modern facade with aluminium alloy piling a five-storey high building featuring the structure is designed to reference the bamboo growing characteristics with interpretation of the bank taken root in Hong Kong with spirit of perseverance and vigorous growth. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Bringing together the sleek design and slender lines detail, which accentuates the brand colour in green. This is simple yet powerful to define the brand identity. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: As the bank hall is positioned on the first floor, designer opened up the facade and created a full-height glazing all the way from ground level to the first. This new intervention translates the transparency of customer service complied by the bank. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Match 2018 in Hong Kong and finished in Jan 2019. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: IMO design have created a modern facade with aluminium alloy piling a five-storey high building featuring the structure is designed to reference the bamboo growing. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Total floor area: 756.5 meter square, with a five-storey high building facade. TAGS: Bank, bank design, Facade, Hang Seng Bank, Branch design, retaildesign, IMO, IMO desgin RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The facade design development needs to balance brand elements, Three-dimensional visual, and building regulations at the same time. The projection from the existing building only allows 350mm. 3D Model and repeatedly partial mockup were reviewed on-site are required in order to get the most perfect result. Especially in chain store design, the prestigious clients include Hang Seng Bank, 3HK, Mannings. In 2019, IMO design took up the milestone project - Hang Seng Bank Branch renovation. It was fully revamped new branch images of Hang Seng retails banking including Mass banking, Prestige banking and Business banking. Most successfully established the new branch images and standardized the design for coming branch renovation rollout. To tackle any kind of design project with our skills.
