DESIGN NAME: Sunac Wanda Realm Kunming
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Nightscape Design
INSPIRATION: The buildings adopt ancient Chinese architectural style, which upholds the idea of "symbiosis between architecture and people" and pursues axially symmetrical sense. The designers drew inspiration from these features to express the lighting.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is in Kunming, an ancient city with multi-ethnic culture, and the buildings adopt ancient Chinese architectural style. The Lighting designers adopt warm white tone as the main color and use customized lighting to reflect local culture and the architecture. The lighting color temperature is uniformly 3000K while the brightness is graded based on different nodes, creating a refined, warm atmosphere at night.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Customizing luminaries to match the ancient charm of the architecture.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2018 in Shenzhen and finished in December 2019 in Kunming, Yunnan Province of China.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The lighting designers adopts warm white tone as the main color and use the washing and blooming effect of wall washer, small-sized spotlight as well as customized lighting to create a refined, special atmosphere at night.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The scope of lighting design is 70000 sq.m. in this project.
