| DESIGN NAME: Smart PRIMARY FUNCTION: Letter Pen INSPIRATION: We follow the characteristics of the Chinese abacus: several balls are beaded together, if we take them apart, they are independent of each other. Thinking about it: if there are A-Z letters and 0-9 numbers on a single ball, you can string any combination what you want. The integration of the molded pattern for A-Z and 0-9 with the rings, can achieve the purpose of production in large scale. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Pen is not only a tool of writing, but also a medium for people to express emotions. Smart is a pen that can talk. The whole set of pen contains the A-Z and 0-9 rings. The users may combine “HAPPY”，“LET ME ALONE” to relief emotions; they may also combine“Peter”to DIY the personalized signature that belongs to themselves. A pen provides the limitless possibility for its users to express their own. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Users may use it as an emotional outlet or DIY a personalized signature. For example, they can combine“HAPPY, “LET ME ALONE”or“Uncle Sam”. When a double letter is needed, they may exchange a letter with others to complete the phrase. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The modularization of the 26 letters substitutes the methods of traditional printing or laser printing, and realizes the batch production. It not only meets the demand of consumers for product customized, but also solve the difficulty that customized products is unable to be batch produced. The use of ink chemical products is reduced, and the costs are saved. The refill with non-toxic ink is harmless to human body. The pen holder of flexible flue and abrazine is soft, smooth and subtle. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimension:142*10.5*1 TAGS: Suit of letter pen; RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In recent years, the incidents of students such as running away from home and committing suicide due to the pressure of study have been happening frequently. We add some interesting on the pen which is frequently used by students, hope to provide a channel for them to relief their emotions and alleviate the pressure. CHALLENGE: —how to integrate the DIY concept of a single pen with the modularized production of a factory. —how to make the letter be more beautiful and practical for the design of a single letter ring. Through multiple experiments, finally we make the letters convex. In this way, we can better realize the modularized batch production for the letter ring. Not only is it beautiful, and also prevents the continuous rolling of the pen, makes the pen stably on the table.
