| DESIGN NAME: Elegant West Garden PRIMARY FUNCTION: Villa INSPIRATION: Art is the origin of imagination. The true feelings of mankind, their inner world and passion towards the world all resides in art. The displaying artworks in this project represents the vitality of space, which also makes the best way to resonate with users emotionally. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Song Dynasty Aesthetics in Contemporary Life The Song Dynasty was called the "Eastern Renaissance" by western scholars. It makes the pinnacle of Chinese classical arts. This gentleman's style and manner, the rich culture accumulated trough times, and that elegant artistic temperament are all displayed in living style and furnishing aesthetics in this project. It refers to the style of the Song Dynasty, inheriting its inner spirits yet not following its format. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The solid and void in between space has its own rhythm, floating around with one's heart and the changing of seasons, thus to transforming the virtual space into an actual life. It interprets the Chinese aesthetics that reflections people's ideal vision of an Oriental style life. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2019 in Qingyuan, Guangdong and finished in December 2019 in Qingyuan, Guangdong. In a contemporary way, bringing an ancient touch of creativity to the modern life. CHALLENGE: What designers create and inspire is exactly the returning desire of the modern people to go back to the oriental aesthetics and spirits.
