| DESIGN NAME: Yushan World PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Center INSPIRATION: Inspired by the butterfly-like terrain of Jiangyin City, the design continues to use butterfly-shaped elements, echoing the architecture's butterfly form. It carries forward the core value of ecological art and starts a magnificent exploration of future urbanism. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The interior layout learns from the butterfly shape of the building. The foyer is shaped with abstract symmetrical wings and arc-shaped wall produces a strong sense of interlacement and segmentation of the space. The designers leveraged natural light in large areas to create a calm and comfortable indoor space. Through an artful combination of atrium and large French windows, the consecutive curved spaces seem to interpret a beautiful expectation of waiting cocoons to turn into butterflies. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Inspired by the butterfly-like terrain of Jiangyin City, the design continues to use butterfly-shaped elements, echoing the architecture's butterfly form. After several days of struggling and suffering, silkworm chrysalis finally gains tenacious wings to fly freely in the sky. The interior layout learns from the butterfly shape of the building. The foyer is shaped with abstract symmetrical wings and arc-shaped wall produces a strong sense of interlacement and segmentation of the space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The introduction of 3D surround multimedia hall attracts visitors to be immersed in the experience journey. The new ultra-white arc-shaped board made from wood and biofiber plastic composites (wood plastic board) echoes the arc of the entire space, creating a calm and comfortable artistic atmosphere of the space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The area of project is 7000 square meter. TAGS: Jiangyin City, Butterfly, Sales center, French window, Arc-shaped space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designers are committed to exploring the combination of commerce and art. They aim to discover more possibilities of art shaping and create richer and more appealing space. CHALLENGE: The entrance space is designed with two curved non-bearing walls. As the overall floor height is nearly 9 meters, it is difficult to carry out construction which needs great load-carrying capability. Considering environmental protection and site construction, the designers selected light wood-plastic decorative boards, which can satisfy the overall decorative effect and address the construction difficulties.
