| DESIGN NAME: Growing Tree PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coat Rack INSPIRATION: Design Idea: Through systematic thinking about the relationship between coat racks and children, the designer hopes to use fewer materials and smarter structures to assist children as they grow to understand the concept of growth even better. Products have life cycles, and it is up to the designer to extend their life as much as possible, promoting sustainable design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a coat rack that can accompany children to grow up. Use the concept of saplings grow into towering trees to tell children to understand the growth process of growing tall, so when designing this coat rack, the spiral structure is used to adjust the height of the coat rack, which is convenient for children who keep growing up to use. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: With a smart structure, bright colors, and geometric elements, the Growing Coat Tree will attract children to organize their belongings on their own, form good habits while young, and promote organizational skills as they grow into adults. The sturdy round base ensures stability and provides a safer environment for children. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Geometric elements are used as the shape of hooks, and the same structure is used to adjust their angles and heights, so as to cultivate children's good habits of self storage and arranging clothes, hats and schoolbags. With the bottom disc used for fixing and supporting, the childish appearance and ingenious structural application complement each other. The Growing Coat Tree was the result. CHALLENGE: Systematically think about the relationship between the coat rack and children, and use less materials and smarter structures to satisfy the cognitive feelings of children in their growth stage. Products in life have a certain life cycle. What designers can do is to try to extend the service life of products as much as possible. This concept also conforms to the topic of sustainable design.
