| DESIGN NAME: Transparency PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Interior Design INSPIRATION: Habitation refers to way or style of living. The lifestyle sprouted from modernism after the industrial revolution era; nowadays, it evolves in an artful taste, the satisfaction of physical needs bonded with philosophical meaning. The minimalism lifestyle encompasses profound thoughts and intricate contexts, which let simplicity become enchanting but arduous to be formed. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Aiming to build up an airy, see-through, light-weight, new simple form of living capacity, this residential apartment is conceptualized by connotations beneath the process of probing metaphysics relation. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Intentionally and experimentally, reunite the integration of seeming contradictions among curves and angles, polylines and straight lines, polished steels and concrete cements, in which everything culminates with moderate fusion. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Massing, proportion, and penetration are involved to be composed of architecture interior space. The wall is considered as a single composition of a three-dimensional framework. After being covered with bent stainless steel, the wall metamorphoses into a functional carrier, which encompasses lighting, bears kitchen, sanitary, storage, pipes, air con, essential fixtures of daily living. While natural light refracts into the curvy wall, its hairline luster adds an enticing touch to spatial forms and expression. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Construction area 122 square meter. TAGS: Stainless Steel, Metal Fabrication, Minimalism, Metaphysics, Steel Wire, Glass Brick RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Possible conditions of light, such as opaque and transparency, light transmission and ambient occlusion, generate optical illusions; nevertheless, geometry and linear misalignment can also lead to another visual deception. The consequence induces to think of the fundamental nature of reality, the relationship between substance and attribute, and between potentiality and actuality. CHALLENGE: Restrained by limited passage of stairway, from assembly, welding, polishing, the wire shelving free standing was completely tailor-made on site. The shelving is asymmetrical and it develops its shape through on-site exploration. Every shelf and wire rod is joined with precise measurements and proportion. The consequence adapts to actual condition, culminating with a light-weight but powerful massing with practical functions.
