| DESIGN NAME: Serene Elegance PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: This project has a new and modern style exterior design, with a minimalist concrete design like a museum, creating a natural style and unique atmosphere of cultural heritage. The big area of glass and concrete stone bring a strong and transparent yet contrast effect at the same time. The ingenious visual weight, create an exclusive vacation house that the client will miss. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The majestic Buddha statue sitting in the back of the living room and the black and white colors are key elements in this soothing covert residence. The refined layers of lines and the intuitive impression of special materials help fuse the ever-changing light and shadow both from the outside and inside, presenting the consistently extraordinary design. The special lowered TV wall in the center links the multi-color design together, opening up a visual imagination and also partitioning the area OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Besides creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, the design team also built special functions for the leisure life, such as the twisted space under the stairs. Through the clever storage design, the design team creates a special cabinet to store the speaker to meet the home theater needs. The first floor bathroom door is also made of the same wood material as the facade, forming as a hidden door, making the public area more clean and comfortable. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the interior space, a plenty of wood materials lays out the rural leisure of the space. In the double-height living room, the marble TV wall that reaches the ceiling directly brings an extended and enlarged spatial feeling. The high-toughness tiles brings warm in the winter and cool in the summer, creating texture on the ground and the facade of the space. The open space style and the continuous glass window create a transparent feeling, with corner window design, the outdoor view is transformed into a unique natural interior image. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Taking a serious consideration about the client family members, after planning sufficient number of bedrooms, the second floor and the first floor living room are integrated into a comfortable double-height space. The six meters height structure has created a completely different scale experience for this vacation house, not only has a big piece of floor-to-ceiling windows, but also brings another dimension. The design team also used a transparent design method to expose the side of the stairs with sharp and rich outline. TAGS: Single-family vacation house, concrete design, field architecture, double-height interior, simple and casual RESEARCH ABSTRACT: "Beautiful House" is a single-family holiday home built by concrete and black stone. The external concrete design and large-area glass material create a modern design and harmony with the nature. The double-height public area, with a lot of wood and stone materials, created in the natural concept that the dining and kitchen areas continue the main design direction, and the use of concrete and tiles brings satisfaction. The design team also brings in the rich outdoor landscape into the room through window, so that the green environment surrounding the house can fully cover the entire interior space. CHALLENGE: The light colored marble TV wall reaching to the living room ceiling is more complicated and dangerous in terms of procedures due to the high structure. In addition, the site environment of this project has the hot and humid characteristics. In order to reduce the uncomfortable feeling, the design team has a layer of heat insulation film on the building surface, which greatly reduces the impact of the sun in the Yilan area in summer time. At the same time, it has a good waterproof quality, so that even the holiday homes that are not often lived can withstand and maintain well.
