| DESIGN NAME: Eastern Garden PRIMARY FUNCTION: Landscape INSPIRATION: The stainless-steel sculpture Water Cloud creates different reflections of image and generates different feelings of interaction in accordance with the different angles of view, thus bringing out the profoundness of the sentimental fun and spatial experience. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design project using the design skills of eastern garden encompassing the layers, enframed scenery, detour, lights and shadows highlights the traffic flow with the transitional two-section community entrance that exposes the conceptual image resembling a winding path leading to a secluded spot, securing the privacy of the residences in the community, and furthermore generating the intriguing detour traffic flow. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design skills encompassing the lights and shadows, the imagination and reality and the feature walls progressively developed a delicate conceptual visual with multiple layers. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the hall and the water reflection of the white marble sculpture “light cube” installed outside the building create the imaginary-and-real dialogue between the indoor and the outdoor space. With the guidance of the traffic flows, people can experience the art elements in the space which has difference scenes in different places. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: - |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Intensified by the splendid floor-to-ceiling windows fascinatingly resembling the jewel, the reflections of the sculpture seemingly floating over the water, with its irregular enframed scenery and imaginary-and-real changes of vertical object, not only create the extensive pool landscape and the broad sense of indoor space, also intangibly spawn the artistic atmosphere as dazzling as an art museum. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Landscape, Residential, Space, Oriental, Water Cloud, Art RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The diverse plants create an invigorating ecological habitat where is environmentally friendly to living beings. The design concept of ecological island agreeably connects the nearby ecological parks, thus enhancing the biodiversity by means of the integrated habitat and the vertical garden increasing the opportunities for biological migration. CHALLENGE: The native trees suitably grown in southern Taiwan are planted here. In this place, the public artwork adds a sense of artistic ambience. The elegant arbors and diverse plants overspread the surrounding environment with great views, breeze, and sunlight. The calm allurement of the pool furnished in the forecourt adjusts the microclimate to a greater degree, thus decreasing the effect of urban heat island.
