| DESIGN NAME: Pure PRIMARY FUNCTION: Phone INSPIRATION: Smartphones help us in many ways but too often they become a time-consuming burden we carry with us all the time. We decided to build Mudita Pure to deliver: A premium feature phone, which we couldn't find in the current market. A device that helps you enhance your offline time and look after your wellbeing. An ultralow SAR, patented antenna, if you want to minimise your mobile radiation exposure. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Mudita Pure is a minimalist premium mobile phone that aims to improve the quality of life in today's world. With an ultralow Specific Absorption Rate head value of 0.08 W/kg and an E Ink display, it is an ideal solution for people who use technology and at the same time take care of their health. Additionally, through the lack of a web browser, applications, games and access to social media sites-Mudita Pure,is designed to reduce distractions, giving users the ability to enjoy life offline. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Mudita Pure is a minimalist mobile phone with ultralow SAR patented antenna. You can make and receive calls, send and receive text messages, listen to the music. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We are going to use 3 technologies for production. IMD provided by Nissha for front part. Material PC Injection of transparent PC, painting and engraving on the keyboard. Injection of transparent PC and masterbatch (with special graining in the form) for body, lid, buttons and SIM tray. All tooling is being produced locally in Poland with only one exception tool for front part by Nissha is produced in China. Production and assembly will be made also locally in Poland. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Phone body dimensions: 58,82 mm x 14,00 mm x 139,72 mm Phone dimensions including keypad and buttons: 59,57 mm x 14,81 mm x 139,85 mm Phone Weight: Approx 120gr Wireless electronic telecommunications device, especially a mobile phone, consisting of a transceiver, display, keyboard, antenna for operation in GSM 2G 800/900/1800/1900 MHz radio bands, characterized by the fact that the antenna is mounted in the antenna socket inside casing, wherein the antenna socket from the rear of the casing is made in the form of a cut-out, the vertical walls of which are spatially formed, preferably along a wavy serrated line. Competition observation Designers conduct in depth interviews and tests with potential users based on Design Thinking methodologies to gather insight or test our ideas and prototypes. Kickstarter campaign as a proof of interest and possibility to talk with actual potential users. CHALLENGE: Creating a phone which is as neutral as a stone was one of the challenges. Our patented antenna requires quite a lot of space, we want to provide a long-lasting battery so it was also challenging to find a good balance between technical aspects to make it work properly and final ergonomy to make it comfortable in grip. We use of sustainable materials for casing. We are developing own OS for E ink device People like the idea but need to slowly, step by step adapt to the changes.
