| DESIGN NAME: QingCloud Library PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reading INSPIRATION: The customer’s primary concern is the visual impact produced at the entrance. Thus, through a cylindrical architecture, a refined and selective internal structure, as well as suggestive light effects, continuous and discontinuous forms are recreated once and again, to present guests with a supreme visual style. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is a creative bookstore that offers books, modern display cabinets, casual coffee services, etc. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This independent library followed the completion of the club, swimming pool and restaurant aims to provide a peaceful space for those want to read. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project stated in May, 2019 and completed in November, 2019 in Heshan, Guangdong ,china. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Wood venee, process glass, color coating, stainless steel SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 220 square meters TAGS: library RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The layout appears a square with around 5 meters height. As the client required, the entrance must be stunning visually. Thus, the architect designed the central structure in flowing cylinder-shaped form.To separate tourists and prevent from blocking and crowding, the architect arranged built-up shelves at two sides of the central spot. CHALLENGE: Satisfy the requirement to display books by defining a series of different cabinet arrays. Customers demand a strong and alluring visual impact on the main entrance. Refine the internal layout through the use of a cylindrical architecture and suggestive light effects, to create continuous and discontinuous unique effects that together present the ultimate visual expression.
