INSPIRATION:
The design team cleverly disassembles the module of Lego, uses the abstract concept of transcending shape, brings woven elements into space, and combines fun and lively lighting to create a learning space for children. Whether the curved woven amphitheater cabinet or the round curvy window on the second floor, both show the lovely and lively space atmosphere, making people feel like stepping into a Lego dream castle.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project located in a beautiful place next to Yangfushan Park in Wenling city, forming a dynamic and energetic and inspiring society within the education, culture, and business sectors neighborhood. The design team chose to play while learning, learn while playing to be the concept of the design. Borrowed the Lego blocks to create an interesting business space that is comfortable and peaceful.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This double-height project is like a newborn universe, the design team ingeniously created it from scratch. The design divides the facade of the second floor to enrich the hierarchy and increase the space for activities. The center column and the arc-shaped staircase stand up to the sky, open up the world. The solid wood handrails that spread from the bottom of the stairs with the structural outline, in a unified space, make a boundless school and set a benchmark for creative educational space.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
This project was completed in July 2019 in Yangfushan Park, Lucheng District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Considering that this Lego Activity Center is a children-oriented educational activity space, the design team paid special attention to the material selections. The hall uses non-toxic, non-scent, and environmentally friendly paint; and the floor is also paved with environmentally friendly materials that have been refined from linseed oil. So, a healthy environment can be enjoyed by children.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
This project was originally a double-height one-story building, which the beam and the column stood in the middle of the space and the layout was unfavorable. Through reverse planning, the design team reversing the disadvantages and rotate the column of the staircase to become straight. The second floor also uses a white, warm, and solid closed wall and wooden handrails to connect the spiral stairs to the visual scale, and build a single volume within the space.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
This project is located in a thriving Yangfushan Park area, education purpose-oriented and supported by brand management and curriculum sales. The overall design is inspired by the module of Lego and enriches the interior space with arcs, circles and brick materials. The design team makes the space wider by using elegant white color and bringing an intellectual experience through different types of wooden materials. Natural structure, dynamic lines, functions, and feelings are seamlessly built in to achieve the ideal space situation for Legos play while learning, learn while playing an inspirational education course.

CHALLENGE:
To solve the disadvantages of the original position of the structure, the design team combined the atrium function as the main interaction and rest space function, and placed a curved wooden cabinet amphitheater which not only has a function to store books but also to link with the circular basket. A playful design, whether the parents or the children, both can be immersed in this natural open space, and the pressure from the beam has also been subtly transformed to be an advantage of the design.
