DESIGN NAME: Pimoji
PRIMARY FUNCTION: More Intuitive Pill Design
INSPIRATION: First, I got a hint by focusing on the poor eyesight of the elderly and the blind. So they could easily distinguish drugs and think about how to take them correctly, so that they could focus on the essence of the pill itself and produce an intuitive form. The result was to use the shape of the organ.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Pimoji is a new type of pill that is inspired by human organs and changed the shape of the pill to make it more intuitive. Older people suffer from many chronic diseases and are taking as many medicines. However, most elderly people often take medicines that do not fit the symptoms because of poor eyesight and poor memory. On the other hand, most conventional pills are similar and difficult to distinguish. Pimoji is shaped like an organ, so it's easy to see what organs or symptoms the drug can help. These Pimoji will help not only the elderly, but also the blind who suffer from blindness and are unable to distinguish drugs.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is designed to make the shape of the organ more intuitive, easy to understand, and even touch it to feel it. Therefore, blind people will be able to use it easily.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2019 in Suwon, and finished in December 2019 in Hwasung, and was exhibited in Hypsung University Galley in December
FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Idea and Conceptual Design

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The material used in tablets was used as much and as possible to keep them as round as possible to make them easier to swallow.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The size of the largest pill(for example heart shape) size is 12mm x 12mm from to smallest one(for example brain shape) is 10mm x 10mm

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: There are many elderly people who suffer from many chronic diseases not only in my country but all over the world. In Korea, studies have shown that these elderly people are taking numerous drugs and are not taking them in the right way. If can't fix taking a lot of medicine, i want them to take it properly. The most fundamental problem was that the generic forms of drugs looked similar, and I decided to focus on the form of drugs, the nature of them. As a result, not only the elderly, but everyone was basically bent on finding abstract symbols and came across it as a human organ.
CHALLENGE: It was the biggest challenge to find a symbol that everyone could abstract.
