| DESIGN NAME: Spring PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Chair INSPIRATION: Living in crowded cities and Increasing population has made living rooms smaller. Due to the lack of space for furniture, by designing multifunctional appliances users can reclaim these occupied spaces and make small spaces seem not too small. The design of this chair is inspired by a flower bud. It opens like a blossom and it will be reminiscent of spring. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This multifunctional wooden chair designed in a modern way and it transforms with just one push, like pushing buttons by built-in compression springs inside it. This chair is useable in small rooms that need more space. These chairs can set as two chairs and a table or all of them as stands in events. All sizes designed according to the standard ergonomic of human body. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It transforms with just one push, like pushing buttons by built-in compression springs inside it. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2020 in Tehran-Iran and finished in February 2020. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main material is Oak wood with natural and white colors.Wooden sheets are laid out then cut into circle pieces. Built-in compression springs are made of aluminum.
