| DESIGN NAME: Fish Migration PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential INSPIRATION: Migration was come up from a Chinese idiom like a fish in the water . It’s a metaphor we use that home is the only place makes people feel at ease and peace. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Infinity, the mathematical symbol, is an idea of interior flow that people can strongly feel like Fish Migration with the flow. With the use of black iron, concrete, and old woods to create different air flow, light and extension of vision. Migration conveys the sense of simplicity and silence which also are represented the households’ lifestyle and living philosophy. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: At the entry, the original brick wall with some trace we kept and a modern circle mirror convey an ancient Chinese concept spherical heavens and flat earth . Pisces steel object, which can be reassembled shape by users, and the redesign interior flow emphasize the concept fish are freely in the water and to feel elegance of the inside. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Migration reveals the households’ simple lifestyle and unique teste through the interior redesign and the use of materials. Home is households’ symbol; households show a kind of home. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 60 square meters TAGS: Black iron, concrete, old wood, historic house, unique, Arc RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Transform a literature concept to interior design and also must show the households’ unique living philosophy. CHALLENGE: Add modern living function into an aged house is the most difficult part, because the house is too old and fragile that have to adjust construction way and make structure stronger.
