| DESIGN NAME: Gloria PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewelry INSPIRATION: (Gloria), In the dictionary it means halo, worshiping and praying of God the Almighty.The halo is a luminous ring which artists paint around the head of Saints or Mormons; this was used as the inspiration of the design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Gloria collection is designed by the use of innovative materials The stones in this collection are made out of unique, environment friendly and completely natural materials. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This set gives the user the ability of alternation of form and function; thoroughly arbitrary.This project started in 2017 and ended in 2019 after making the preliminary prototypes. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main shanks of the ring and the body of the bracelet are made by wire handforming and the stones’ materials are totally natural and environment friendly and in fact, no sort of chemical colors or substances has been used during the process of making. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Bracelet Dimension:9×9 cm , Rings Size:54 , Bracelet total weight :13 gr , Rings Total Weight : 3-5 gr TAGS: jewelry, ring , bracelet, art jewelry, handmade, Gloria RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design data of this collection and specially its stones, are garnered through information gathering and field & empirical studies. CHALLENGE: After searching in various features of natural materials, manifold techniques were tested to specify the optimal crafting method; so eventually a crafting process was selected out of sustainable and unique methods for making the stones of this collection. NAME: Atelier Sorouri PROFILE: Sorouri Atelier was established by Saloumeh Sorouri, member of the Industrial Design board at Islamic Azad University of Tehran (Central Branch), since year 1999 in Sari and then 2002 in Tehran, with the aim of gathering the renowned international designers, and commenced its artistic and cultural activities. Tutoring and instructing illustrious designers in the field of art and design-industry, jewelry, products, vehicles, interior design, et cetera, along with holding design workshops are some of her activities. In fact, the background of specific activities in artistic and cultural contexts was hierarchical in her family and passed one generation to another. |
