DESIGN NAME: Fresh Blood DG Youth
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cultural exhibition
INSPIRATION: The design idea comes from the vegetable market where we go every day. It combines six exhibitors under the theme of “Fresh Supply of Cultural Innovation” and adopts six special products in Dongguan to represent the exclusive identity symbols of six cultural youths. It is both local and international, reflecting the young and fresh culture and the daily design power of Dongguan.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: All six exhibitors happen to be local residents of Dongguan. The inspiration comes from the cultural vegetable market near our homes. Culture can be young and amusing.Therefore, special food in Dongguan has been selected and blended together to show the young fresh culture and the daily design power contained in Dongguan.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After entering the exhibition area, one can see the exhibition of personalities of 6 different characters. There are six arrays of special-shaped leaflets under the rotating vegetable lamp, forming a cultural vegetable market.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Started in August 2019 and completed in September, all completed in Dongguan, China

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The rectangular model of A5 leaflets has been cut into the form of high-quality roasted geese and placed on the peddler’s table. Then, the flyer becomes a product-shaped flyer with “product form” and makes up for the regret that the real food cannot be displayed.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The exhibition integrates the local culture, the industries and the personalities of exhibitors. The bookmark has been made into a special shape, displaying the shape of a roast goose on its cover, which is especially brilliant.
CHALLENGE: It is impossible to display each exhibitor’s real cultural works directly due to the venue limitation. Therefore, the texts, the pictures and the QR codes of those works have been embedded into the leaflets with the special shaped die-cutting roast goose and other forms, and been erected on the peddler’s table. Those little special shaped leaflets become productized leaflets with product form and unexpectedly display another possibility to view and experience cultural works.
