| DESIGN NAME: Waterproof 20L Backpack PRIMARY FUNCTION: Foldable water resistant bag INSPIRATION: The Catalyst Waterproof 20L Backpack was inspired by real life experiences. The Catalyst founders are genuine adventure enthusiasts who wanted to design a backpack that they could take out trekking, even on the wettest of days. With its roll top closure, tapered waterproof seams, it is 100 percent waterproof and will protect clothes, a laptop or other devices from any moisture whatsoever. Made with lightweight material and breathable mesh shoulder straps, it is comfortable to carry all day long. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The water resistant waterproof backpack protects your gear from even the heaviest of downpours. This lightweight pack comes with a compact carry pouch, so you can unpack this bag in super quick time and fit the bulkiest items like your new trainers or for any outdoor adventures. The adjustable sternum strap is attached to the shoulder straps and the tapered overall profile allows for better weight distribution making this waterproof backpack comfortable to carry on even the longest days. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Catalyst Waterproof 20L Backpack functions as a very practical bag that is foldable for enhanced portability. The nylon fabric used and the added protection from the tapered seams protect the bag with 10,000 mm of water pressure. The mesh shoulder straps are designed to be breathable and dry quickly and they also have 9” side pockets, a whistle, and a large roll top closure to fit extremely bulky items. With it being lightweight and fully functional, this bag protects in every situation. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2017 and finished in 2018. The Waterproof 20L BackPack was officially launched in May 2018 and exhibited in Sep 2018 during IFA Berlin 2018 |
