| DESIGN NAME: Hengqin Science City Phase III PRIMARY FUNCTION: Mixed-use INSPIRATION: The master plan and architectural design of HQSC are based on the concept of “Where Growth Happens”. The story of the design begins with a seed, which is the Science City Medicine Museum and the landmark of Biomedical Valley. The seed is tied to the soil, rooting and sprouting, while the branches are flourishing, which is a metaphor for the growth of the pharmaceutical industry in the fertile soil of Hengqin. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Hengqin Science City Phase III is located in Zhuhai Biomedical Valley, which is under the “One City, Two Wings, Three Valleys” planning system. It aims to build a world-class innovative pharmaceutical industry base that vitalizes the city by medical industry. The spirit of pharmaceutical industry is to provide people with healthy and green living. It will be a green technology park that meets the needs of industrial professionals and technology elites for one-stop work, leisure and living needs. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project’s concept design phase started in July 2018, and expected to be finished by end of 2020.
