DESIGN NAME: Jianlibao Wepop
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sugar-free Sparkling Water
INSPIRATION: The typeface is designed into one with pixelate effect.Characters are split out and designed separately,each stroke standing for a different building block,in which pop art is endowed with childish fun.The flexibilities of pixels or building blocks will provide a wide range of applications and combinations.Eye-catching fruits are illustrated in a pop art style to complete the package design, where colors in sharp contrast and of high purity are used to display four flavoring fruits.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With the rise of obesity rate, more consumers tend to consume healthy sugar-free and tasty beverages. So refreshing fruity sparkling waters come into vogue. Wepop, a sugar-free healthy fruity sparkling water, is now produced and launched to market by a local Chinese beverage brand.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Building blocks and pixels are important graphic representing methods. We adopt them to achieve more effective communication with young consumers. With this new package, Jianlibao makes its way to rejuvenate the brand. We chose discreetly the materials, printing techniques, production crafts, all accessible, to bring the product to market as fast as possible. Therefore, the product will be taking advantage of its youthful and eye-catching look in the market for longer time.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project lasts 2 month, designed in Shenzhen and produced in Foshan, Guangdong.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The PET bottle is reshaped into a distinct but simple and fashionable one, whose size is getting smaller upwards. The silk-screen matte film provides a more stable holding experience and a better feel. The strict control of color printing and number results in a good display of product's quality.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Jianlibao possesses advanced production and R&D capacity, holding rich experience in making sparkling waters and the likeness, of which, Chinese market is so far under development. Yet, consumers has grown a huge demand for healthy and low-calories products. So Jianlibao is grasping the best opportunity with the new products of young look.
CHALLENGE: We aim to surprise the target consumers of Wepop. The surprise must come from both a unique package and rejuvenate attitude. Unlike the rebrand of its classic products, Wepop is created to enrich the product series and to cultivate a new brand to fit the popular and young consuming background.
