| DESIGN NAME: Quality Flavor PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Apartment INSPIRATION: Design is art that conveys emotion. It further endows life and value through social interaction. When designing, the designer wanted to create an extra but complete foyer and storage space under the existing building structure, while presenting the living room, dining room, and kitchen as a whole. Therefore, semi open shelves and flow twists were used to create the foyer. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design project was interpreted with extremely simple practical aesthetics. It introduced the concept of in between by creating versatile ways of using the public domain. With vague demarcation, family members can use the place individually while staying in the same space. This does not disconnect the familys relationship while replacing it with more sparkles and surprises under different usage scenarios. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: One will find no unnecessary decoration once entering the place. With warm color tones as its main color tones, healthy yet different materials were coordinated with each other and combined into a room of comfort and ease. Its vertical demarcation follows a perfect proportion while natural lighting from outside the window is the best tour guide for one’s eyes. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: At the same time, half transparent glass doors, ceiling designs, and other techniques were used to present an individual living room, dining room, and kitchen while maintaining their wholeness. Healthy and toxic free materials were used while presenting harmony and balance among different materials and color tones. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The apartment is 115.7 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Residential, House, Space, Home RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designer puts emphasis on practical aesthetics and pays more attention on present life experience instead of atmosphere build up. Complicated and unnecessary designs were taken away and the life style of the user was regarded as the first priority. Natural and healthy materials are also used in the overall design, while presenting them with comfortable and interesting colors.
