PRIMARY FUNCTION: Shopping Mall
INSPIRATION: From the perspective of modern urban park design, with the breakthrough of the topic space design gimmick to build six characteristics,named by The Feast of jiufen,He Feng Ri Li,Liu Mang Wu,The Secret Garden,The Future World,The Vivid Food Court and so on. From the perspective of each consumer, emphasizes the combination of shopping and spatial experience, to increase consumer's perception of place and memory. Create an experience space that can be perceived, read and remembered by consumers.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The site is on the northwestern corner of the Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District, close to the open green belt and Hongqiao traffic hub,include Hongqiao airport and railway station.
Lihpao Plaza is a shopping mall with story scenes constructed by Art and technology. From the four major genes of life aesthetics, community service, family growth and innovation and entertainment, the theme of entertainment is to create a new experiential shopping mall.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The whole theme boutique business will from life aesthetics, community service, growth, innovation, entertainment four gene family, with the breakthrough of design methods to build multiple high space, creating six characteristic topic space, from planning to the layout of the formats and manuscript design, from the perspective of each consumer, the business line optimization, for commercial center to guide the rational flow of customers, satisfy consumers leisure, shopping and entertainment as a one-stop consumption demand.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project design was started in April 2017 in Shanghai, China, and was completed in April 2018. The mall was opened in Nanyang, China in October 2019.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main concept of project is based on the combination of art and technology. We choose the normal materials to satisfy the schedule and budget of the construction. With"happiness" as the theme,recreate the Taiwanese theme park of reminiscence by zigzag alleys, stairs and red lanterns. To transform Zen and Kyoto style creates the natural space by light, shadow and window grilles. Using the books and stairs create the cultural market. To create the recreational court by botanic elements and butterflies. Create a interactive smart space through new technologies such as "VR" and "3D interactive projection".
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The interior design area of the project totals 100,000 square meters. The six different themes of commercial space, which run through two floors of the ground, are equipped with a corresponding style bathroom, and equipped with a certain proportion of maternal and child rooms, barrier free toilets, vertical lift and multiple escalators. The two floors of B1 and M are commercial retail and theme catering blocks.

The project location is due to the regional investment strategy of the comprehensive consideration, emphasizes the combination of shopping and interactive experience, through to the regional division to redefine the spirit of the space, in order to increase consumer cognition and memory, is a kind of convenient shopping, entertainment.
CHALLENGE: 1. The project belongs to the commercial design project of China's first-tier cities. How to create a shopping mall fitting the consumption structure of the city, and creating a memorable shopping space .
2. The limitations of the original structure of the existing building, such as low floor height, large beam height, the form of picking holes is not ideal, etc., how to design with the original framework as the guideline to continue the soft and beautiful space intention, showing the theme image of the shopping center that can be remembered.
