| DESIGN NAME: The Jinmao Yueshan PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Center INSPIRATION: The inspiration comes from three aspects: the local mountain and river landscape, the Zen, the tea ceremony and calligraphic art. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This property sales office features new Chinese style with local cultural elements. It is composed by sales space in the front area and the working space in the back area. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After investigating the project site, the design team took advantage of the scenic spot "Doosan" and integrated the surrounding natural landscape into the project. The mountain, water and tea are the main design elements in the sales office, fully showing the local culture. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2017 and completed in April 2018. It is located in Wuxi, China. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main materials include marble, gray wood finishes, delicate bronze stainless steel components, beige leather, hand-painted wallpaper, wire glass, etc. The original plan designed a landscape painting stone. Due to the high cost, a landscape painting in silk-screened glass replaced the stone. And it also achieved good results. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total area is 1300 square meters. TAGS: residence, interior deisgn, sales office, wood, stone RESEARCH ABSTRACT: After communication with the client, the design team worked out and adjusted the layout to meet the needs of client. The finalized plan is the co-working of the both sides. After completion, the overall effect of project has surpassed the original design expectations; and the feedback from the owner was also very good; it was also regarded as a typical project in the area for related personnel to visit and learn. CHALLENGE: The main challenges are the adjustment in construction and short design period. It is a great challenge for the designers to work out a high quality construction drawings in a limited period of time. Due to the budget, the selection of material is also a challenge. To fulfill the task, the design team has divided the work reasonably and kept working on several weekends. Finally, the project has applied for high quality materials in a limited time and budget.
