RM: Inspired by Van Gogh's《the Starry Night》, dragonflies fly in the night sky. I uses diamonds instead of the stars and the whirlpools vividly depict the dynamics of the dragonfly flying. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? RM: I want to turn that famous painting into a jewelry work that represents my design style. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? RM: Not affected by the data for the time being, the design looked through some books and background information. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? RM: The effect of the first draft is different from the imagination, constantly overturning the design and repeating it. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? RM: I hope more people will know the traditional Chinese Hetian nephrite. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
