NH: Will start the China mainland market afterward, let more customers realize the brand. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? NH: Around 1-2 months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? NH: I'm thankful for our client can let me do the design 100% freely. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? NH: To create a new way of Teaism. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? NH: The name of the product is decided by the client, ichiei company name in Chinese pronounces Yat Ying, Yat is Chinese word ONE, Ying means ocean in Japan. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? NH: Adobe illustration, Adobe Photoshop. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? NH: Projecting the mood of the tea farm from Japan, where produced the product. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? NH: I worked with my partner for this project, he is working on marketing part, to study the tea products in Asia market, helps the design can be more targeted to our audience. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? NH: Research for the loquat fruit and loquat leaves shapes, the style of Japan simplism, how to use white color well to build up the product identity style. Client provided their Japanese farm picture to us, those pictures are full of peacefulness, elegant and pure spirit, same as their concept of the product producing. I want to enhance the product identity to promote a new way of enjoying tea and healthy, feeling the mood of the company spirit by just look at the package. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? NH: The word of Ying(the logo) is a Chinese word that has lots of strokes, a logo aimed to be as simple as it can for target audience easy to identify, so it takes time to modify the way of writing. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? NH: I've learned more Japanese culture by working on this project, the principle of what they doing, the spirit of stick to perfection.
