Interview with Morris Chi at Saturday 28th of April 2018 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MC: Our daily life is consist of decisions. From when we were student, facing multiple choice questions, to life's choices that keep us awake at night. And we all know that with every decision, our mind went through a journey between sense and sensibility, things aren't as easy as it seems. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MC: What do we think of when we decide FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? MC: It is a great affirmation for me and will continue to work harder to do better works. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MC: The whole year FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MC: Inspiration when chatting with friends FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MC: Create your own work FS: What made you design this particular type of work? MC: Recently popular style FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? MC: There are many similar styles on the Internet FS: Who is the target customer for his design? MC: All people who want to eat ice cream FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? MC: Different techniques FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? MC: A sentence that most directly brings you into the subject. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? MC: AE,PS,AI FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MC: Exquisite picture, lovely style FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? MC: I co-authored with Chang, Jin-Wei, Lo, and Chien-Ming FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? MC: The 3D animation technology is very important, and the technology will be beautiful. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? MC: There is a slight survey of girls’ thoughts when considering eating FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? MC: Technology is our biggest challenge, followed by making ideas into scenes FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? MC: Invited FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? MC: Time management and technology. Dare to try to improve.
