Interview with HAPPY BUDDHA DESIGN STUDIO at Thursday 22nd of February 2018

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
IL: Bicycle accessories are often installed on the bicycle piece by piece; this makes the bicycle look cumbersome and disorganized. We hope to integrate the accessories to make the bicycle look holistic and stylish.

IL: convenient、Attractive、No need to learn.

IL: Sales and user convenience

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
IL: One year

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
IL: It is our own design. We love bicycles.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
IL: We plan to sell

IL: Mixed user needs.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
IL: Design knowledge, no special tools

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
IL: Watch and listen to the user

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
IL: The Mix Mudguard's greatest challenge is to project the light onto the Mudguard because it might reduce or affect the visibility of the warning light. Despite the challenge, we overcome the difficulty by increasing the area of the light to make riding at night safer. In addition, we have made the assembling process easy and simple. The design of Mix Mudguard does not affect the appearance of the bicycle and the installation does not require additional components and tools.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
IL: Hope more people see it

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
IL: The challenge is impossible

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
IL: NO

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
